Mar-Allen Concrete Products Inc. has been specializing in concrete repair for more than 50 years. Our business was originally founded by Harold Zimmerman in the early 1960s. Harold is the inventor of the mobile volumetric concrete mixer. Harold sold the concrete repair portion of his company, Zimmerman Industries, Inc., to another individual, who then named the repair company after his two sons, Mark and Allen, making the name Mar-Allen.

In 1983, Harold’s nephew, Mahlon N. Zimmerman, Jr., acquired Mar-Allen Concrete Products, Inc., which was then specializing in concrete repair for agriculture and bridge construction.

Because of Mar-Allen Concrete Products Inc.’s experience and abilities with shotcrete, starting in the mid-1980s, the company was provided with opportunities to work in various well-known amusement parks and zoos on the East Coast, creating structural shotcrete walls and pools, some with themed and aesthetic finishes.

In 1990, Mahlon’s son, Jeffrey L. Zimmerman, became the President of Mar-Allen Concrete Products Inc. and is the current owner. Jeff’s leadership has enabled the company to continue growing and expanding its services to include heavy and highway concrete repair.

With Mar-Allen Concrete Products Inc.’s expertise in the concrete repair market utilizing shotcrete and special grouting techniques and the family’s history relating to equipment, Mar-Allen was naturally led into the geotechnical market. It now also includes foundation work, micro piles, compaction grouting, soil nailing, and tie-back anchors, in addition to specialized concrete work.
